July 22, CAS Vice President Ding Zhongli inspected Institute of Earth Environment, CAS (IEECAS), accompanied were Li Hefeng, Director of Personnel and Education Bureau and Guo Ji, President of CAS, Xi’an Branch and others.

Ding Zhongli listened to the work report presented by Liu Yu, Director of IEECAS, he then commented on the developing course of IEECAS, as well as team-building, infrastructure development, leadership foster. Dong Zhongli highly affirmed the outstanding achievements obtained by the entire Institute, he also raised specific requirements for future development of IEECAS, he hoped that the Institute could continue to carry forward the fine tradition of the older generation of scientists and to contribute for the "Innovation 2020", he encouraged that the younger scientists to focus more on key scientific issues from national strategic level and propose solutions, so to further enhance the independent innovation capability of Institute, and to fulfill scientific mission and make greater contributions for the country.
