Location :Up to present, the Institute made a series of important research results. Won the National Natural Science the second and the third class award, the first class prize awarded by province and ministry 3 times. Seven people won the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, four people received the National 100 Excellent Ph.D. thesis award, two people received the Chinese Academy of Sciences outstanding doctoral dissertation award. From 2000 to 2008, researchers published 968 papers, including 506 SCI papers (162 first author papers). Papers published per person were in No. 1 in resources and environmental classification of Chinese Academy of Sciences (according to the report of Resources and Environment Science Centre, Chinese Academy of Science ). Up to now, we have published 9 papers in Nature, Science, and PNAS, the publish rate is 1 paper per year in Nature/Science.
